How much does hiring a beach hut in Sandbanks cost?
1st October to 23rd March: £80/week or £30/day
24th March to 25th May: £86/week or £40/day
26th May to 29th June: £178/week or £40/day
30th June to 31st August: £200/week or £40/day
1st to 21st September: £178/week or £40/day
One week is Monday to Friday inclusive.
These rates are imposed by the Local Authority.
How do I reserve a day/dates?
Book early to avoid disappointment. Booking can only be confirmed and guaranteed when full payment (non-refundable) has been received. Until then alternative bookings from other interested parties will remain open for those dates and may be accepted on a whoever confirms and pays first basis.
How do I pay?
Payments can be made by BACS transfer. For any booking to be confirmed and guaranteed the full 100% (non-refundable) payment is required.
Can I cancel/change my booking?
You can cancel your booking (no refund) though you may seek to change your booking dates subject to availability and would only be liable for the extra cost (if any) from your current booking.
Can I hire a beach hut for one day?
Yes, we welcome single day bookings. You can pick up the keys in the morning and return them when you leave.
What facilities are provided?
We have the following facilities available:
- Public toilets (including disabled)
- Drinking water
- Cold water showers on the promenade
- Children's play area with climbing, swings, sand diggers and sensory play panel
- Crazy golf course
- Barbeque area
- Lifeguard cover from May to September
- Watersports equipment and hire
- Parasol and deckchair hire
- Volleyball nets, slackline and table tennis hire
- Beach office
What funiture is provided?
4 x collapsible chairs, 1 x lounger, small folding table, windbreak, parasol, camping gas stoves, kettle, frying pan, waste bin and cleaning materials.
The use of the beach hut, its contents and any facilities are at the persons hiring's liability/responsibility/risk including for any loss or damage.
Does the beach hut have water/electricity?
No, however there is a drinking water tap nearby and a butane stove is provided (butane supplied) for making hot drinks etc. Public toilets are also only a short walk away.
What direction does the beach hut face?
The beach hut is South facing with French doors opening onto an enclosed balcony with views over the beach, ‘Old Harry Rocks’, Studland and the Purbeck hills.
If there are vulnerable adults, children or pets intended to use the beach hut the person paying will be responsible/liable for their Health and Safety, behaviour and any loss or damage that might be caused.
Is nearby parking available?
Yes! There is a large carpark to the rear of the beach hut complex and on street parking is also available.
Is there mobile phone network coverage / cellular internet signal?
Although this varies by carrier, there is generally excellent coverage and 4G mobile signal.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Pets are welcome and the beach hut is located close to the all-year dog-friendly beach. An automatic dog wash is also located nearby.
Terms & conditions of use
Beach huts should only be used during the hours of daylight and should never be used for overnight accommodation.
Valuables should not be stored in the beach hut. The Council cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hirer’s property. The hirer will be responsible for any loss or damage to any Council property and/or equipment during the hire period.
All litter and personal belongings must be removed from the beach hut upon departure and the hut left clean and tidy.
You are permitted to barbecue near to your beach hut, although you must be considerate to other beach hut users.
Please be considerate of neighbouring beach hut tenants regarding music, noise and the number of people using the beach hut.
